Investiture Event Volunteers

Today the RSM Centre was closed - because everyone was over in St Denys' Church to celebrate the investiture of our Founder and Charity Manager Jo Evans. Jo has been honoured with the British Empire Medal (BEM) and today's special event was organised for the presentation of the medal to Jo on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen by HM Lord Lieutenant for East Sussex - Mr Peter J. Field.

The church was packed with well-wishers and there will be loads of photos, which we will be posting over the next couple of days as they come from the photographers.

In the meantime, here is a picture of two of our fantastic volunteers, Stephen Whitehead, bringing in last minute supplies for the refreshments afterwards, beside Norman Fuller on wheelchair pushing duty at the bottom of the slope up to the church. RSM could not provide any of the services it does without our volunteers, so we give them all a big Hip-hip-hooray! especially the team of helpers organising all the refreshments at today's very special event!
Thank you to them and everyone who came to make today a very special day to remember.
MORE PHOTOS SOON!
