The Trustees and Management Committee of The Rotherfield Memorial Institute (RMI) (Charity No. 241751) are calling an Extraordinary Open General Meeting at The Institute on Friday 19th November 2021 at 7.30pm, to discuss the proposed charity merger with Rotherfield St Martin (Charity No. 11685555). All residents of Rotherfield are welcome to attend.
The purpose of the meeting is to consult with local residents about the intention of the RMI committee and trustees to pass a resolution that the RMI apply tot he Charity Commission to authorise a formal scheme to merge the RMI with Rotherfield St Martin, and in doing so, to transfer the Memorial Institute hall and all RMI’s assets to RSM for the ongoing benefit of the village, through the work of RSM, which is already based at the Hall.
